A documentary filmmaker from NY had was robbed of his camera equipment in a smash-and-grab in Japantown Tuesday evening. Frank (he requested we only use his first name) told me he grabbed food before going to the airport & all it took was 30 minutes & his windows were smashed & his gear & footage were gone. Thankfully a Good Samaritan found his passport & discarded items nearby and returned them. Frank says he will come back to the Bay Area but may enjoy Napa or surrounding areas and avoid San F
