Soldiers from all over the West Virginia Army National Guard participated in level two training for the new Army Combat Fitness Test Aug. 26-28, 2019, at Camp Dawson in Kingwood, W.Va. The level two training is designed to teach Soldiers the details of each event, from proper postures to how to grade the actual event. The Army Combat Fitness Test, #ACFT, is a six-event test that assesses an individual Soldier's physical readiness. Trainees going through Basic Combat Training, #BCT, are tested three times prior to graduating to ensure they're physically capable of exceeding the U.S. Army standard before arriving at their first duty station.
