The correct CPT code for carpal tunnel syndrome decompression, which is a carpal tunnel release, is 64721. CPT code 64721 is for "neuroplasty and or transposition media nerve at carpal tunnel". Since patients typically only have one carpal tunnel released at a time, I'll need to go back to the documentation to see if it was the left or the right side. I
