“Centers for Peace and Friendship,” a series introducing SGI culture centers and facilities around the world. The Soka Bodhi Tree Garden is a hub for cultural exchange and the study of Buddhism on the outskirts of Delhi. The garden is home to the biggest cluster of Bodhi (Peepul) trees in India—4,000 in all—and was established on September 12, 1993, by Bharat Soka Gakkai (BSG). On his visit to India one year before in 1992, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda envisioned that the garden, situated on a va
