Chilling satellite footage of a large underwater volcanic eruption off the coast of Tonga. The eruption, captured in the following satellite images, show a huge plume of ash and water vapour rising from the ocean’s surface. The blast was so powerful that it could be felt as far away as Fiji and Vanuatu, where people reportedly felt the ground shake for hours on end. Tsunami warnings have been issued for US West coasts, Alaska, New Zealand, Australia and Fiji Islands. Footage taken from the NOAA
