Making a Pickguard I had to make this custom template for this guitar. It may look standard but there was a ¼” difference and I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a gap where the bridge sits. This one will be all black, and I have black pickguard screws to go with it. I made the pickguard before routing the pickup and control cavities. I’ll use the pickup route to help locate where the cavity should go. Not shown – all the cleanup. This stuff makes a mess. #guitars #luthier #guitarmaker #luthiery
