Following his resignation as researcher at Anthropic earlier in the week, Jacob Coxon stated that the ‘people building AI earnestly believe that it could kill us all by the end of the decade’. Alarm over the potential harm that could come from AI has grown following his comments. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei called on AI companies to slow the rate at which they advance model capabilities amid mounting fears of misuse of artificial intelligence, outlining a three-step framework intended to pace dev
