Rico is displaying nesting behavior. Nesting behavior is a behavior we do not encourage or reinforce, unless you want to breed birds. We are an educational center. Many people don't understand what this behavior looks like and that it can be displayed from males as well. Some other behaviors that coincide with nesting behavior are: in the corners on bottoms of cages, pulling papers up through crates, beak down and tail in the air behavior, clicking beak in dark corners or dishes, digging in food
