Philip Longo on Instagram: "This is how I prune my fig trees! This 4 year old Chicago hardy fig has been a heavy grower for years. Within the last two years the 4 main trunks I selected and kept have gotten huge! Each year I have been cutting the new growth back to ensure the trunks I selected continue to establish. I’ll continue to prune the tips of the lateral branches, and use some other techniques to keep new branches growing and the tree producing. I am excited for another productive year a
