Wings Flights of Hope is a volunteer organization of pilots who give free rides to people who need urgent medical treatment. Joe DeMarco, a retired NYC contractor turned volunteer pilot, founded the organization in 2009. Now Joe and 12 other volunteer pilots take more than 500 trips each year, flying patients to and from regular treatments or emergency surgeries across the country.
