The NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center has predicted that the aurora's "viewline," which represents the southern-most locations from which the aurora may appear along the northern horizon, will be within much of the northern United States on Nov. 12.

A severe geomagnetic storm is still causing powerful "waves" in space, so to speak, giving people in at least 30 U.S. states a chance to see northern lights play out in the night sky if conditions are right.

It will be all eyes on the No. 9 Oregon Ducks as they return home to Autzen Stadium to host the Minnesota Golden Gophers on Friday, November 14 in prime time. I
